Honda’s Continued Popularity
Honda was originally a manufacturer of motorbikes. However, the company eventually expanded its operations and began designing cars in the 1960s. These Honda cars were popular models which have helped to catapult the company to being one of the top automakers in the world. Due to the current economic climate, the choices consumers make when selecting a vehicle have changed. Being more conscious of the costs involved, consumers are selecting cars for different reasons. Honda cars continue to be popular even during this time. While other car-makers have to rethink some of their designs, the Honda remains a very economical car with an excellent value.
Cars designed by Honda continue to be sought after because of their reliability. You’d be hard pressed to find a rating or listing of most reliable cars and not see at least one Honda model, if not more. For this reason, many people would rather spend their hard earned money on a reliable brand that’s been tried and true. They are not parting with their money as easily given the economic situation.
Fuel efficiency is another reason that consumers continue to select Honda. With excellent gas mileage, it costs less to fuel the car as well as increasing the time needed between fill-ups. While Hondas are designed to be fuel efficient, this does not mean that the design is sacrificed in space. Many Honda models can comfortably seat five people; almost unheard of with economy cars. Even the sport model is a very reliable car, the Honda S2000 is a popular convertible and it has even been seen in huge movies such as the Fast and the Furious.
Another reason for the continued success of Honda would be due to the low maintenance fees associated with their vehicles. Given the reliability factor of these cars, it makes sense that there would not be a lot of maintenance fees for these cars. When they do need repaired the parts for Hondas are quite reasonable, which keeps one’s repair bill low.
